Matt’s attention to detail is second to none. He’s been looking after my basses for years now and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
— T. Lumsdaine (Facebook)

I took my guitar to Matt at Salt Mine Repairs after it had been through the hands of a few other guitar repairers. Matt immediately struck me as doing things differently by the number of questions he was asking me. He wanted to get to know my guitar, what its problems were and what I was looking for that guitar to be. It felt like a consultation with a health professional and I really appreciated the thoroughness of it all.

Apart from an extraordinary subject knowledge Matt has a forensic mindset. He was determined to find the source of the problems of playability … and he did. Matt was proactive with repair solutions and consulted me at every step of the way. He gave me sensible choices/options and was more than happy to discuss any queries or concerns I might have had.
